The Clock section lets you specify the number of subdivisions of the beat (parts per quarter note) and the SMPTE time format and offset.

The Clock section has the following sections:

This section lets you choose what device Music Creator uses as a timing source, and has the following options:

Internal. Choose this option to use the clock on the computer’s motherboard.

Audio. Choose this option to use the clock on the computer’s sound card.

Ticks per quarter-note

This section lets you choose the number of subdivisions of the beat (parts per quarter note), from fifteen choices.

Timecode format

This section lets you choose a SMPTE frame rate from among seven choices.

SMPTE/MTC Offset. This section allows you to apply an offset to the displayed SMPTE time, which is often useful when working with video. Choose an amount in hours/minutes/seconds/frames format.
